DATE OF ANNOUNCEMENT OF NOBEL PRIZE LAUREATES KNOWN
Awards are given in five traditional scientific fields, defined by Alfred Nobel, founder of the Nobel Prize: physiology, or medicine, physics, chemistry, literature, and peace prize. This year the amount of the each prize will constitute USD1 million 178 thousand. The same amount of “Prize in memory of Nobel” on economics will be awarded by the Swedish Bank.
Prizes on physiology and medicine will be awarded in the Caroline Medical-Surgical Institute on October 6, while on physics in the Royal Academy of Sciences of Sweden on October 7. On October 8 the names of laureates on chemical and economical fields will be announced in the Academy as well. Peace prize will be awarded on October 10 in Oslo. According to the tradition, the laureate of literature prize will be announced by the Sweden Academy.
This year Nobel Prize will be awarded for 102nd time.
