Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis celebrated in Kyiv
Baku, December 26 (AZERTAC). An event was held in the school number 37 in Kyiv to celebrate the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.
The event was co-organized by the Office of the Congress of Ukraine Azerbaijanis in Kyiv and Heydar Aliyev Ukraine-Azerbaijan Education, Science, Culture and Sports Centre.
The event was addressed by Gafar Aliyev, Chief of Sector on Work with Diaspora of the Presidential Administration`s Department for Social and Political Affairs and Ilham Ismayilov, Director of Cooperation Center of Azerbaijanis and other Turkish Speaking Peoples.
Official of Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Ukraine Farid Babayev congratulated the participants on behalf of ambassador Eynulla Madatli.
Gafar Aliyev presented his book entitled “Architect, saviour and founder of the Modern Azerbaijan” to the school`s principal Nikolai Vidman.
The founder of the Congress of Ukraine Azerbaijanis, Talat Aliyev, presented a book of Azerbaijani tales to the pupils of the school.
Chairman of the Office of the Congress of Ukraine Azerbaijanis in Kyiv, Oleg Krapivin and head of the Heydar Aliyev Ukraine-Azerbaijan Education, Science, Culture and Sports Centre Arif Guliyev invited the participants to a second international juniors freestyle wrestling tournament commemorating Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev.
