DEFENSE MINISTER MEETS WITH HIS UKRAINIAN COUNTERPART
Azerbaijani Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Safar Abiyev met May 30 with his Ukrainian counterpart Anatoliy Gritsenko and his accompanying delegation, who are in Azerbaijan to participate in a regular meeting of the Council of CIS Defense Ministers.
Safar Abiyev said Azerbaijan has been actively cooperating with Ukraine in the military field since regaining its independence.
Anatoliy Gritsenko, in his turn, noted Ukraine attaches great importance to the relationship with Azerbaijan.
Ukrainian Minister also spoke of the ongoing military reforms in his country.
The counterparts discussed the process of Army building in the countries, military cooperation, integration into European security structures, and other topics of mutual interest.
