“ENI” AND “CALIK” SEAL CONTRACT ON CONSTRUCTION OF NEW OIL PIPELINE
The companies “Calik” and “Eni” have inked a contract on construction of the oil pipeline linking seaports Samsun (Black Sea) and Ceyhan (Mediterranean).
The major objective of the project to be implemented by the consortium “Eni-Calik” is to ensure ecologically secure and economically profitable transportation of energy resources to avoid transporting crude oil through Bosporus and Dardanelles.
Government of Turkey completely supported the project on the construction of the large terminal in Samsun. “Eni” representative Stefano Giao stated that Turkey has the perspective to transport crude to Europe from Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan.
