Expert: Bulgaria-Azerbaijan energy cooperation plays a key role in regional security
Baku, April 24, Tamilla Mammadova, AZERTAC
Energy cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan is of strategic importance not only for the two countries but also for the Balkan region and Eastern Europe as a whole, said Bulgarian international relations expert Stanislav Bachev in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.
According to him, Azerbaijan is a reliable supplier of energy resources, including oil and gas, and plays a key role in ensuring stable supplies to Europe. Bulgaria, in turn, can serve as a key transit and distribution hub in the region.
"The development of energy cooperation can be achieved through various routes and supply mechanisms, as well as with the participation of companies from both countries," the expert emphasized, adding that energy partnership is becoming one of the most important factors in regional stability and economic sustainability.
