Floods kill 9 in Russia

Baku, October 16 (AZERTAC). Flooding killed at least nine people and forced hundreds to flee from their homes in Russia, state media reported Saturday.

About 300 people were evacuated, according to RIA Novosti.

Torrential rains have pounded southern Krasnodar territory, flooding seven villages, state media said.

Officials have declared an emergency status in the area.
