A total of 311.7 million cubic meters of gas was purchased from the Russia’s Gasexport company in July, according to teh State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. In total, Azerbaijan imported 2 bln 670.3 million cubic meters from Russia for seven months of this year. It is scheduled to import 10.7 million cm per day in August.

In accordance with the earlier signed agreement with Gasexpot, Azerbaijan will purchase a total of 4.5 bln cm of gas in 2006. The gas is used for energy supply in the electric stations.
