GERMAN EMBASSY IN BAKU MARKS DAY OF GERMAN UNITY
Baku, 7 October (AZERTAC). The Embassy of Germany in Azerbaijan has organized today an official reception to mark the Day of German Unity.
Opening the event, ambassador Per Christopher Stanchina praised the current level of relationship between Azerbaijan and Germany.
According to him, bilateral relations in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres have notably enhanced.
The diplomat noted his country attaches significant importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan within the European Union, OSCE, the Council of Europe and other international organizations.
Attending the event, first vice-speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov congratulated the German people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.
He said German companies and businessmen make certain contributions to developing Azerbaijan`s economy.
He expressed confidence cooperation between the two countries would continue to develop in years ahead.
Officials, ambassadors to Baku, MPs and public figures attended the event.
