Government of Georgia works on efficiency of quitting the Commonwealth of Independent States, Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said. The Government is now evaluating the plus and minus points of this step. At the same time, Mr. Nogaideli stated, Georgia now passes to bilateral relations with the CIS states.

A special governmental Commission is working since early May this year on efficiency of this question.

Mr. Nogaideli said the Russian peacemakers could not perform their duties in the zones of Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-Ossetia conflicts. The government and Parliament of country both supports this step. In the conflict zones, the peace was not ensured, and moreover, the provocative acts increased.

Nevertheless, the Prime Minister noted, the Government of Georgia will make every possible effort to solve the questions peacefully.
