HEADS OF COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITIES MEET IN TASHKENT

35th meeting of the heads of communication administrations of the Regional Communication Union took place in Tashkent. The event gathered delegations of Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Azerbaijani delegation was led by Minister of Communication and Information Technology Ali Abbasov.

The discussions at the meeting addressed communication and information technologies, radio communication development prospects, digital radio broadcast service, application of information and communication technologies in the postal offices and other issues.

Advisor of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Elchin Aliyev reported on realization of resolutions of the world summit on the information society while chief of the information-analytical department of the Avrotel joint company Subhi Gahramanzadeh delivered a report on results of the Doha World Telecommunication Development Conference.
