Hungarian FM arrives in Israel for two-day visit

Baku, November 7 (AZERTAC). Hungary`s Foreign Minister Janos Martonyi arrived on a two-day visit to Israel on Sunday, according to MTI.

Avigdor Liberman, the Israeli Foreign Minister, is hosting a dinner in Martonyi`s honor, who arrived to Israel from Jordan.

Martonyi is scheduled to meet Reuven Rivlin, the Israeli parliamentary speaker, on Monday morning, to be followed by talks with Dan Meridor, the deputy prime minister and minister of intelligence and atomic energy. Both politicians are members of the Likud party.

Martonyi will also meet Daniel Hershkowitz, the science and technology minister who is of Hungarian descent, and President Shimon Peres. On Monday evening, the minister will attend a reception organized by representatives of Israeli Hungarians.

On Tuesday, Martonyi will travel to Ramallah, the centre of the Palestinian Authority, to meet Riyad al-Maliki, the Palestinian foreign minister, and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
