III National Cardiology Congress of Azerbaijan Society of Cardiology starts in Baku

As earlier reported, the III National Cardiology Congress of Azerbaijan Society of Cardiology started in Baku. The event is attended by over 1500 specialists from 15 world countries.
The chairman of the Azerbaijani Society of Cardiologists Firdovsi Ibrahimov noted that participation of famous cardiologists from various countries of the world in the congress is an indicator of the high level of development of domestic health care. “Cardiological and cardiovascular surgery in the country took a way developments exactly thanks to care and attention of the national leader Heydar Aliyev whose farsighted policy in this sphere successfully is continued by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The key goal of action to hear the reports of 75 local and 25 foreign experts is rendering assistance to development of cardiological and cardiovascular surgery in Azerbaijan, carrying out exchange of experience with foreign experts, and also discussion of achievements of medical science in the sphere. Now cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death around the world, despite rapid development of scientific and technical progress, improvement of medical equipment, growth of number of the qualified health workers, and also creation of new highly effective medicines. This congress will help the Azerbaijani experts to benefit from the international experience, and will also play an important role in advance of progress of Azerbaijan”, Ibrahimov stressed.
