IMF NOT INSIST ON RISE IN GAS AND ELECTRICITY PRICES
The International Monetary Fund does not insist on rise in domestic gas and electricity prices, head of IMF mission to Azerbaijan John Wakemann-Linn told journalists. According to him, IMF has accepted the government’s arguments, which lay in necessity to create a system of social protection of population. Rise in kerosene and diesel prices are now on the waiting list.
IMF representative said that the sides are to agree the issue of bringing domestic prices for gasoline, mazut and air fuel in line with world prices. IMF and government of Azerbaijan will continue negotiating on this issue.
