INFORMATIONAL AND COMMUNICATIONAL EXPERTS MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF SCHOOLS
|The meeting was dedicated to the competition between Azerbiajani schools Best School Web-site within the frames of the project of National strategy for informational and communications technologies of the government of Azerbaijan and the UN Development Program and its fulfillment at the first stage.
Teachers and schoolchildren of Baku schools, national experts of the project, informatics tutors of Baku State University and Academy of state management under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan taking part in the meeting shared their views on creation of web-sites.
Detailed information on application of informational technologies in educational process and teaching of informatics was given at the meeting.
The participants of the meeting decided to hold short-term courses on web programming in Baku State University and other higher educational institutions.
The terms of announcement of results of the competition has been prolonged for another month.
It was pointed out that the main aim of the courses is rendering aid to schoolchildren within a short period to get skills on working with special programs of making web sites. Such courses are foreseen for schoolchildren of regional and village schools.
The competition is held in three nominations - city, regional and village schools.
Wed sites of more than 20 schools were prepared and placed at Internet site www.mekteb.edu.az.
