International conference on illegal drug traffic commence in Baku
Baku, October 17 (AZERTAC). The international conference on the fight against illegal drug trade kicked off here today.
Chief of the Presidential Administration`s department for work with law-enforcement bodies Fuad Alasgarov read out President Ilham Aliyev`s letter to the participants.
The conference co-organized by the World Customs Organization and Azerbaijan State Customs Committee and supported by the United Nations has brought together representatives of 42 countries.
The conference will discuss the current situation of drugs trade, regional and international cooperation to fight trade in narcotics.
The two-day conference will also feature opening of the WCO European Regional Office for Capacity-building in Baku, “Let`s say no to drugs” international cartoon competition and charity concert.
