International observers monitor parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan
Baku, November 7 (AZERTAC). A large number international observers from various countries are observing today`s parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.
Besides capital Baku, the observers have been visited constituencies in Azerbaijan`s regions. Some 160 observers have been monitoring the course of the election.
International observers from France have monitored the voting process in the polling station No. 1 in the Yasamal constituency.
French MP Alain Marsaud told journalists there was a serious preparation for the elections. “We have high opinions about Azerbaijan.”
Another observer Roubaud Jean described the election process as normal. “We faced no problem and irregularity.”
Some 27 parliamentarians from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly are observing the voting. Member of the observation mission Konstantin Pshenko told journalists “we have been monitoring the election process since the opening of polling stations. Everything is normal. We have registered no violation of law.”
Pshenko described the process as “a completely transparent.”
