Japan and Azerbaijan sign grant agreement on water supply system
Baku, November 3 (AZERTAC). Advisor of Japan`s embassy to Azerbaijan Tishikazu Muto and Chairman of Azerbaijan`s International Humaniarin Public Union Astan Shahverdiyev sined the grant agreement on construction of water supply system in Alismayilli village of Gabay region.
The agreement was signed within the Japan`s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project. The total sum of the grant is US $ 99,918.
Chief of the international relations and development department of “Azersu” Company Ilgar Tagiyev said the projects on restoration of water supply and sewerage systems in cities and regions are being implemented in the country. The projects are realized by the funds of the government and credits of the international financial organizations. Japan`s International Cooperation Agency loaned 440-450 million dollars to Azerbaijan. Till 2013, 10 cities and regions will be supplied with water supply systems.
