JAPANESE EMBASSY MARKS EMPEROR’S BIRTHDAY
He said the Azerbaijan-Japan ties have been steadily developing since 1992 when the two countries established diplomatic relations, and described the existing partnership as very prospective. The Ambassador noted his country welcomes Azerbaijan’s steps towards ensuring democracy and human rights adding that the country has recently achieved great progress under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Speaking first deputy chairman of the Milli Majlis Ziyafet Asgarov conveyed to Ambassador Abe President Ilham Aliyev’s congratulations and best wishes for peace and prosperity of the Japanese people on the occasion of the Emperor’s Birthday. He added that based on the traditional friendship the political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries will be further enhancing. Mr. Asgarov appreciated the Japan government’s contributions to realization of educational, healthcare and other projects implemented in Azerbaijan, and thanked Japan for its constant support of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
