JAPANESE GOVERNMENT TO FUND ANOTHER THREE PROJECTS IN AZERBAIJAN
Under the Grass Roots Human Security Project Program, the Government of Japan has allocated $277 thousand 525 to realize three more projects in Azerbaijan: construction of new schools in Jeyranbatan settlement and Uludash village in Gabala region, and repair of hostels in Sumgayit in which part of internally displaced persons are temporarily placed as result of Armenia’s military aggression against Azerbaijan. A signing ceremony held on this occasion at the Embassy of Japan to Azerbaijan was attended by Misir Mardanov, Azerbaijani Minister of Education and Gurban Sadygov, Head of the Department at the Cabinet of Ministers. The documents have been signed by Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Tadahiro Аbe and representatives of the projects’ implementers - nongovernmental organization Avand, Community Development Center and Women Council of Norway in Azerbaijan.
