JOINT PRESS CONFERENCE OF PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN AND PRESIDENT OF MOLDOVA HELD
The head of the states made statements.
President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, in particular said: “We attach great importance to this visit and I am confident, that it will put in pawn a strong basis of development and strengthening of friendly relations between our countries and peoples which have very deep roots. It is pleasant, that these relations have not been lost, they exist, get stronger and, I hope, as in the future, including the agreements signed today, will allow us to carry out in more full volume mutually advantageous cooperation”.
President of Azerbaijan once again expressed great pleasure in connection with the visit of President of Moldova.
“We are satisfied with our relations at the international level, the European level, at the level of the CIS. The period has now come to receive satisfaction and from our mutual relations. We have signed great amount of documents. It testifies to gravity of intentions from both sides to develop and strengthen mutual relations”, President of Moldova stressed.
“I had fine personal relations with Heydar Aliyevich”, President of Moldova said, “we repeatedly met. Today on road from the airport we have recollected with the prime minister, that with Heydar Aliyevich I have got acquainted 30 years ago when he has arrived on the 50th anniversary of establishment of Moldavian SSR and Communist Party of Moldova. We very fruitfully worked within the framework of the CIS. I still had fine memoirs and kind impressions. It was the unique person, it was very interesting person, he underlined.
In conclusion, Vladimir Voronin said: “I once again express gratitude for opportunity to carry out this visit. We invite the President of Azerbaijan to visit Moldova with official visit. We shall be very glad to exchange views, we shall find many interesting points for discussion”.
