JUBILEE OF THE NEWSPAPER "CASPI" MARKED
The representatives of various press organs and journalistic organizations, heads of the press services of numerous structures, representatives of political parties, intelligentsia, figures of literature, culture and art attended the event.
Editor-in-chief Nuraddin Heydarov, having made digression to the history of the newspaper, has dwelt on its today's activity. He informed, that the "Caspi", which first number was issued in 1881, was published in Baku in the Russian language till 1919. Since 1887, Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev, who charged editorship to Alimardan Bay Topchubashov, took the newspaper under his patronage. In October 1907, Alibay Huseynzadeh was appointed as an editor. Hasan Bay Zardabi from the very beginning actively cooperated with "Caspi”. During his editorship, the structure of journalists has been filled up due to intellectuals with democratic views.
Employees of "Caspi", MP Vugar Rahimzadeh, chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov, his assistant Jahangir Mamadli, chairman of National TV and Radio Council Nushiravan Maharramli, head of the political department of President Administration Ali Hasanov and others have congratulated the board of the editorial. They have especially emphasized that the newspaper has got sympathy of readers, observes national interests, is far from is pre-conceived materials.
