LATVIAN PRESIDENT MEETS WITH PARLIAMENT LEADERS
The supreme guest was welcomed by the Parliament speaker Murtuz Alaskarov and vice-speakers of the Milli Majlis. At first the Latvian delegation has got familiar with the Parliament Museum.
Then Murtuz Alaskarov and Mrs. Vaira Vike-Freiberga have met with participation of the delegation’s members. The both sides have appreciated the high level of the Azerbaijani-Latvian relationships and the cooperation between the countries within the framework of international organizations. The both countries’ parliamentarians have successfully collaborated in the Council of Europe, OSCE, NATO PA and the European Union, said Murtuz Alaskarov. He also in detail informed the guests on the preparations for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the both sides have noted the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan should be restored and the conflict will be settled peaceful.
