Major overhaul of “Uzeyir Hajibeyli” dry cargo vessel completed

The major overhaul of the “Uzeyir Hajibeyli” dry cargo vessel, operated by the Marine Transport Fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), an AZCON Holding company, has been completed.
According to Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC (ASCO), the vessel underwent major repairs at the “Zigh” Ship Repair and Construction Yard. Its main and auxiliary engines, as well as machinery and pumps, were repaired. Piping and electrical installation, automation, and hull welding works were also carried out.
In addition, the vessel’s underwater and above-water sections were fully abrasive-blasted and repainted, while its accommodation and service areas were refurbished to meet modern standards.
The “Uzeyir Hajibeyli” is 108.33 meters long and 16.74 meters wide and has a cargo-carrying capacity of 5,200 tons.
