Meeting of PACE Monitoring Committee held in Paris

Paris, September 9 (AZERTAC). A meeting of the Monitoring Committee of Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) was held in Paris, France on September 8.

The session saw debates on the functioning of democratic institutions in Armenia, parliamentary elections in Turkey in June, Russia`s, Albania`s and Hungary`s honoring of their CoE obligations and other issues.

Azerbaijan was represented by the head of the delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov and MP Elkhan Suleymanov.

After the meeting, Seyidov told the journalists “the most important issue for us was the approval of co-chairs` visit to Azerbaijan. We actively participated in the debates and raised issue on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict again”.
