MERITS AND MEMORY OF HEYDAR ALIYEV UNFORGETTABLE
Being the staff reporter of popular Russian newspapers and radio stations “Freedom”, Elmira Khanum in the beginning of 1990s of past century has published and broadcasted a lot of interview with Heydar Aliyev including from Nakhchivan. The journalist informed up to people and world community the truth on the hard situation in which was the country in the first years of independence.
Elmira Akhundova in her books and publications in detail covered shined many-sided activity of the nationwide leader on revival of independent Azerbaijan, his official visits to foreign countries, and meetings with outstanding politicians and statesmen of the present.
Speaking about that the strategic line developed by Heydar Aliyev, his political successor President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues, E. Akhundova has noted stable political situation in the country, successes in foreign policy. As a member of permanent delegation of MM of Azerbaijan in Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, she has told on active position of the Members of Parliament in protection of national interests, first, in settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
