MIKHAIL SAAKASHVILI: “ILHAM ALIYEV’S POLICY WILL LEAD AZERBAIJAN TOWARDS SUCCESS”
The Georgian President was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pumping station in Gardabani district, Georgia, which was also attended by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
“We are very glad that the processes are developing very well in Azerbaijan and are very happy that Azerbaijan is developing as Georgia would like it to happen. Azerbaijan is becoming a rich state, where the social infrastructure is developing. And I am happy that Azerbaijan has a leader – which is hope not only for the Azerbaijani people, but is also a very convenient partner for us, with whom it is very easy to have relations. I am talking about my friend Ilham Aliyev and I am talking about the policy which he carries out to make Azerbaijan a really successful state,” Mr. Saakashvili stressed.
“This is of crucial importance for us, because Azerbaijan is our strategic partner. Georgia is not only a friendly state to Azerbaijan but also a state to which we can rely on,” the Georgian President added.
