MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE MEETS WITH UNDERSECRETARY OF LITHUANIAN MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE
Ismat Abbasov spoke of the ongoing economic reforms, development of the non-oil sector and global transport and energy projects, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
Mr. Abbasov told of the accomplishments in implementing agrarian reforms and application of scientific solutions. According to him, Azerbaijan turned from being importer of agricultural products into exporter.
The Minister also said Azerbaijan is keen to enhance cooperation with Lithuania, noting that there are good opportunities to achieve this.
Rimantas Ceponis, in his turn, said the level of cooperation in the international arena between the two countries is high.
“However, we should do a lot to enhance our bilateral ties, including in the sphere of agriculture”, said Mr. Ceponis.
He also expressed confidence that Azerbaijan-Lithuania relations will further develop and enhance. Political will of heads of the two countries guarantees that.
