Montenegrin President visits International Mugham Center in Baku

Baku, September 17 (AZERTAC). President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic has today visited the International Mugham Center.

The President was informed that the construction of the Center was initiated by the First Lady of Azerbaijan, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva following the April 6, 2005 Order of the President of Azerbaijan on the construction of an International Mugham Center in Baku.

He was told President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva inaugurated the International Mugham Center on December 27 2008.

This Center is one of the most important projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The International Mugham Center has a 350-seat concert hall, club, restaurant, classrooms and recording studio.

The Montenegrin President viewed busts of renowned Azerbaijani performers.

President Vujanovic toured the Center and listened to the young mugham performers.

The President was presented with a keepsake.
