Nagorno-Karabakh separatists`s book fair provocation fails

Baku, October 7 (AZERTAC). Karabakh separatists failed to take part in one of the world`s biggest book fairs, the Frankfurt Book Fair.

The Armenian media reported the so-called “Nagorno-Karabakh republic” would have a separate pavilion at the fair. Azerbaijan`s embassy in Germany made an inquiry about the case and contacted organizers of the fair, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

The embassy said in a letter of explanation that this was political provocation by the Armenians.

The organizers responded that the Nagorno-Karabakh separatist regime would not attend the exhibition in line with the Azerbaijani embassy`s demand and that the contract with their representatives had been annulled.

The organizers also removed any references to the separatist regime from the fair`s web page and catalogue.

The fair runs from 6 to 10 October.
