Narges Mohammadi nominated for 2023 Nobel Peace Prize

Baku, February 2, AZERTAC

Vice President of the Defenders of Human Rights Center, resident of the city of Zanjan in South Azerbaijan Narges Mohammadi, who is currently serving a long prison sentence, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The director of the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) Henrik Urdal announced his shortlist today for the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize, with human rights activists topping the list.

Reporters Without Borders has awarded the 2022 Press Freedom Award to Iranian activist Narges Mohammadi.
