NATO, AZERBAIJAN SATISFIED WITH LEVEL OF COOPERATION
Mr. Simons highlighted on the actions he attended in Baku and also informed on his reception by the Head of the Azerbaijan State.
The NATO Special Representative expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation with Azerbaijan, highly assessed the works done in this direction, noting that all these would be reflected in the preliminary evaluation report he is going to prepare in March 2006. Both the NATO and Azerbaijan are doing their best to implement the obligations they took.
He positively assessed the steps the government takes to disclose the fraud during the passed parliamentary elections in the Republic.
In regard with billeting of peacemakers in region, Mr. Simons said the sides in conflict should come to agreement for this purpose. “The NATO hopes for acceleration of negotiations next year”, he emphasized.
