NO SITUATION IN GEORGIA CAUSE TENSION IN OIL TRANSPORT

President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev told AzerTAj reporter there were problems in transportation of Azerbaijan oil through Georgian territory. According to him, diesel oil and aviation fuel are what is mainly transported from Azerbaijan through the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi respectively. “For the time being, there is 22 thousand tons of aviation fuel there,” the SOCAR president said.

He also promised that the situation in neighboring country would not have an impact the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline construction. “The BTC’s security is provided by the countries’ Governments, and the pipeline does not pass the territory of Ajaria, although the latest developments in Georgia may cause certain delays. Anyway, the pipeline’s construction will be finished as scheduled.,” Mr. Natig Aliyev stated.
