NO UNEMPLOYED AND POOR TO REMAIN IN AZERBAIJAN
Successful implementation of the program concerning socio-economic development of regions and Baku suburbs as well as Baku road infrastructure development has resulted in opening 380 thousand jobs in Azerbaijan over two years and half, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in a ceremony to mark 28 May, Republic day.
“This is only the beginning. In the future, it is planned to open hundreds of thousands new jobs in Azerbaijan, that, in turn, will serve elimination of unemployment, and drastic decrease in number of people living in poverty. Poverty level in Azerbaijan has fallen to 20 percent over the past two years. It is a big success achieved for a short period of time,” said President Ilham Aliyev.
