During the second meeting of the Nakhchivan State University (NSU) delegation in China, new opportunities for production internships and summer schools were discussed in the fields of logistics, tourism, artificial intelligence, digital media, arts, and medicine.
During a meeting between NSU and Urumqi Vocational University, significant agreements were reached aimed at expanding cooperation in educational and applied fields.
The Chinese side was represented by the university’s leadership, including the President and Vice-President of UVU, the Director of the International Relations Office, the Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, the Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Communist Party of China, and the Dean of the Faculty of New Energy and New Materials.
During the discussions, priority was given to the development of joint educational programs in logistics, tourism, artificial intelligence, digital media, arts, and medicine. The sides also exchanged views on organizing Chinese language teaching at the bachelor’s level, developing specializations aligned with modern labor market demands, and implementing a practice-oriented education model.
The meeting also covered student and faculty mobility, the expansion of academic exchange programs, and the joint organization of industrial internships. In particular, preliminary agreements were reached on developing dual-degree programs based on a 3+1 model at the bachelor’s level and organizing joint courses in a hybrid (online and in-person) format.
Urumqi Vocational University has a well-developed university-industry cooperation model, and it was noted that this will create opportunities for NSU to collaborate with leading Chinese companies partnered with UVU.
To ensure effective implementation of cooperation, working groups have been established by both sides, led by the rectors of NSU and UVU.
NSU students will be able to benefit from the extensive material, technical, and practical facilities of UVU, which specializes in vocational-oriented education.
