OSCE observers: Azeri elections underway in normal and democratic atmosphere
Baku, November 7 (AZERTAC). The election observation mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) has said Azerbaijan`s parliamentary elections are underway in a normal and democratic atmosphere.
The ODIHR`s over 400-man mission has monitored the voting in nearly 300 polling stations in the capital Baku and regions across Azerbaijan.
Janez Lenarcic, Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, said the OSCE`s long-term mission had been in Azerbaijan since late September. He added the mission had already released two interim reports on the parliamentary elections.
Lenarcic said the OSCE mission - working in the capital and the regions - would make separate reports.
“A joint report will be released on November 8 at a press conference in which we will make public our initial opinion. The final report will be released in two months,” added Lenarcic.
