PEOPLE GRATIFIED WITH PARDONING DECREE OF AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT
The President’s pardoning Decree was highly praised by the inmates, their natives and relatives as token of humanism.
After the Decree came into effect, the Court Decisions Execution Chief Department (CDECD) of the Justice Ministry immediately held a gathering and prepared the list of the pardoned prisoners. On 20 January, the Presidential Decree was executed on places of confinement, where also were invited media representatives to watch the process.
Head of the control department of CDECD Azer Seyidov, the human rights commissioner of the Republic Elmira Suleymanova recommended the pardoned to adjust trust of the head of state and handed them over the release documents.
The pardoned and their natives said the Presidential Decree would strongly impact on the legal and democratic state building process in the Republic, and raise of the international image of the country.
