POLISH AMBASSADOR HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE
Noting that the relations between Azerbaijan and Poland are at high level, the Ambassador said the development prospects were discussed during the official visit of the Azerbaijan President in March current year to Poland. The diplomat reminded the documents signed during this visit, stating that they have given strong impetus to development of cooperation in numerous fields. Besides, the visits on numerous levels have also promoted the links between two countries, he stressed.
Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Poland has reached 50 million dollars, Mr. Kraevski said, noting this does not satisfy the sides. ‘Poland is interested in cooperation mainly in oil-gas and construction field. Poland, at the same time, attaches great significance to transportation of the Caspian oil to Europe through the Odessa-Brody pipeline. The Government of Poland carries out certain work to realize this’, he emphasized.
At the Ambassador’s words, the minister of economy of Poland Pyotr Vojniak is to visit Azerbaijan in early next year to discuss development of economic links. Noting Poland is the member of the European Union and NATO, the Ambassador said his country stands ready to support integration of Azerbaijan to the Euro-Atlantic structures.
Also dealing with the cultural links between two countries, the Ambassador said the Azeri language is taught at the Warsaw University.
