PREMIER OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVED RUSSIAN DELEGATION
Prime Minster of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade 28 November received the Russian delegation headed by the Defense Minister of this country Anatoly Serdyukov.
Head of the Azerbaijan government has regarded mutual visits of the Ministers of Defence as one of the important elements of the Azerbaijani-Russian relations and expressed hope, that this tradition would be continued in further. Widely discussed was the dynamical performance of the plan of cooperation between defense departments of the two countries. Artur Rasizade assessed actively developing bilateral tes in all spheres, noting that there is no any unresolved problems between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Mr. Rasizade stated, that "the key to the solution of this problem, unlike ordinary opinion, is not in Moscow or in Washington, but in Baku". Azerbaijan in view of the non-constructive position of Armenia in this question is obliged to increase volume of budgetary funds on defense.
Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Anatoly Serdyukov informed the head of the Azerbaijan government on the negotiations carried out in Baku with the Azerbaijani colleague on which the sides expressed deep concern. As he informed, the sides has agreed on training of Azerbaijan servicemen in military high schools of Russia, repair of arms by forces of the Russian experts.
