President Ilham Aliyev: April battles showed whose army is invincible

The April battles is a great military victory of Azerbaijan. For years, Armenia had been creating myths about its army, claiming that it was invincible. The April battles showed whose army is invincible, said President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks addressing the opening of the newly built military camp of a military unit of the Ministry of Defense in Pirekeshkul settlement of Absheron district.
“The truth is bitter, but Armenia will have to admit the humiliating defeat. Following the April battles, Armenia’s defense minister and other senior officials were dismissed from their posts. That was the outcome of the April battles,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
“Some of our soldiers were martyred. May Allah rest the souls of the soldiers in peace! We protected our lands, and even liberated a portion of it from the enemy. The April battles have to be mentioned in military book. The Azerbaijani army demonstrated both military professionalism and heroism,” President Ilham Aliyev added.
