PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV AWARDS A GROUP OF MEN OF LITERATURE
Addressing the writers, President Ilham Aliyev in particular said, “ You have been working in the field of literature for years. You are the most famous poets and writers of Azerbaijan. I am very happy to present these titles to you”.
According to the President, mother tongue and literature helped people of Azerbaijan to avoid assimilation and preserve their history.
“Along with other factors stipulating our country’s successful economic development, we have to do our best not to lose our moral values. We have to preserve and protect our traditions and historical achievements. Of course, the country’s strength and wealth lies in economic power and at the same time in moral strength. Moral values are exactly what strengthen it. Of course, poets and writers play a invaluable role in this,” said President Ilham Aliyev.
The President noted that he keeps this sphere in focus of his attention and pledged to do everything in his power to achieve overall development of Azerbaijan.
Then, the Head of State congratulated and presented the badges to the recipients.
