PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV MEETS WITH HIS RUSSIAN COUNTERPART V. PUTIN
President Putin expressed his satisfaction with his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev in Almaty, saying “we frequently meet and bilateral relations between our countries are rapidly developing”. V. Putin said these relations are especially successful in economic and humanitarian fields and it became possible due to the right course Azerbaijani leadership has pursued for years. Russian President expressed his gratitude for this. Given the level of bilateral relations, according to V. Putin, today’s meeting is very fruitful.
Expressing his gratitude for sincere words, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said he is glad to meet once again with the Russian leader. According to the Head of our State, two Presidents met last time at the opening ceremony of the Year of Russia in Azerbaijan and discussed bilateral issues. Today, the Year of Russia is successfully continuing. Mr. Ilham Aliyev said that the relations are developing in a positive way. The relations are developing in all fields including the political one. The trade turnover between the two nations has doubled and there is room for its further increasing. President Ilham Aliyev said the cooperation with Russia in the humanitarian field is very good and the relationship with this country is a priority for Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani leader expressed his satisfaction with the rapid development of bilateral relations between the two states and added that these relations are based on friendship, fraternity, partnership and good-neighborhood.
