PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES BP AZERBAIJAN, ASSOCIATE PRESIDENT DAVID WOODWARD
President Ilham Aliyev described the cooperation between BP and Azerbaijan as steadily enhancing, and expressed satisfaction with successful implementation of such global energy projects as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Shah Deniz.
He added the oil revenues collected in the State Oil Fund are spent on realization of social programs including construction of hospitals and schools throughout the country, calling this a result of successful joint activities.
The Azerbaijani leader finally expressed confidence in further enhancing the Azerbaijan-BP cooperation.
For his part, Mr. David Woodward informed President Ilham Aliyev about 2005 accomplishments, and plans for the next year. He called 2005 as a year of successful partnership recalling in this connection the May fist oil putting into the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. Mr. Woodward also reported that all the tasks set for 2005 had been fully implemented.
