PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES DELEGATION OF US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The President said it pleases him that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is playing an important role in development of the relationship between the two countries, and pointed out that Azerbaijan’s economy keeps growing steadily.
The Head of State emphasized that now the Azerbaijan-US cooperation is not limited to energy sector but is gradually covering other fields of the country’s economy. He expressed hope that more American companies would come to Azerbaijan in the future.
President Ilham Aliyev said he had very important meetings at the Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. adding Azerbaijan attaches significance to development of bilateral relations.
He also expressed confidence that cooperation between Azerbaijan the United States would continue to enhance in various fields.
Speaking on behalf of the US Chamber of Commerce, Ambassador Reno Harnish described its rope in development of economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and the United State as very important.
He noted that the meeting of the Azerbaijan-US joint working group on economic cooperation held last week in Washington D.C. was very successful. Mr. Harnish advised that a plan of cooperation between the two governments for the next six months has been developed during the event.
He called this fact very significant from the standpoint of development of the Azerbaijan-US relationship.
