PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES TURKMEN DELEGATION
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on 7 April at President Palace received the Turkmen delegation headed by Agageldi Mamedgeldiyev, the defense minister of this country.
Head of the Azerbaijan State noted good opportunities for all-round cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. President of Azerbaijan recalled the meetings with his Turkmen counterpart, emphasizing the importance of these meetings to develop bilateral relations. The two peoples had in all periods friendly and cooperation ties and during the independent years, the two countries have to further expand these relations, President Aliyev stressed. The Head of State underlined that cooperation between the Defense Ministries of the two countries would promote development of bilateral relations, too.
Defense minister of Turkmenistan Agageldi Mamedgeldiyev conveyed greetings of the Turkmen President to President Aliyev, and informed on the meetings the delegation held in Baku. At his words, expansion of cooperation between the two defense ministries, mutual exchange of experience will enhance traditional friendly relations.
President Aliyev expressed pleasure for greetings and asked to convey his greetings to Head of the State of Turkmenistan.
