PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV VISITS BILASUVAR PROVINCE
The President and his wife also visited the Heydar Aliyev museum where they familiarized themselves with the photographs reflecting the life and activity of the nationwide leader.
Afterwards, President Ilham Aliyev met with representatives of the province’s public, and addressed them.
“Dear sisters and brothers!
I am cordially greeting you all. Today, I have come to Bilasuvar to meet with you”, he said.
“In 1970s and then in 1990s, the great leader Heydar Aliyev played a huge role in development of Bilasuvar.
Today, socio-economic development of the region is at its new stage. Because we have to implement large-scaled programs in all the provinces of Azerbaijan, including Bilasuvar.
On the whole, the program of regions’ development is the main priority of our politics, as it (development of regions) will strengthen our country, and Azerbaijan will be developing in all directions”.
“Some work has been done for all-round development of Bilasuvar province. And this is reflected in the State program. But I promise that we will prepare a plan of additional measures. I will give instructions to allocate more funds for socio-economic development of Bilasuvar”.
“As you know, today Azerbaijan’s economy is developing very rapidly. Our country has become the world’s leader in economic growth rate. Of course, our opportunities and budget are increasing, and so we are having additional opportunities. I do want these opportunities be very effectively used, in other words, for development of regions, district centers and towns, building new houses, creation of job places, and construction of roads”.
“Now, we are doing a huge work to open job places. I can say that 435,000 new jobs have been created in Azerbaijan over last two years. The roads are being constructed, power plants are being built, and energy supply is being improved. However, all this questions are at their earliest stage. I want all the main problems the people face be settled in a short period of time, in other words, poverty and unemployment be eliminated, and agriculture be improved. As you know, the Joint Stock Company Agroleasing was founded in order to promote development of agriculture. The company purchases state-of-the-art agricultural equipment to lease to farmers. The state budget includes $100 million for development of entrepreneurship, and this sum will increase next year. We should seek more rapid development of entrepreneurship in all the regions of Azerbaijan. Because, development of the private sector will promote the all-round development of the country”.
“We have great opportunities. The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, which is the creation of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, guarantees Azerbaijan’s economic development”.
“The main attention should be focused on settlement of social problems so that people live better”
“The government, in its turn, will be taking all the necessary measures, and I am sure that huger work will be done in Bilasuvar in a short period of time”
“I will come to Bilasuvar in the future too. I’ll keep paying attention to development of the province.”
“Dear friends, I am cordially greeting you once again, and wish you good health and happiness. Thank you”.
Afterwards, President Ilham Aliyev had a warm conversation with local residents.
