PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV VISITS MONUMENT TO NATIONAL LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV

On June 4, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev left Henri Coanda International Airport to come to Tei park located in downtown Bucharest. The Head of State was greeted here by Mayor of the second sector of Bucharest N. Ontsano, who gave some information about the park, and pointed to world-famous political figure Heydar Aliyev’s invaluable services in establishing and developing Azerbaijan-Romania relationship. The Mayor said that people of Romania remember the genial personality with great respect, and added that monument to Heydar Aliyev was mounted in 2004.

President Ilham Aliyev said that people of Azerbaijan attach special importance to the fact that Heydar Aliyev developed and strengthened friendly relations between the two nations. “Mounting the monument in this beautiful park is the manifestation of respect of the people and government of Romania to Heydar Aliyev,” he said adding that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Romania will continue to develop successfully.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev laid a bouquet of flowers at the monument to the great leader.

Mayor Ontsano told the Azerbaijani leader that residents of Bucharest and students of nearby institutions of higher education, as well as young people are also among visitors of the Heydar Aliyev’s monument.
