PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN MEETS TURKISH PRESIDENT AHMED NECDET SEZER
The heads of state noted lack of any problems between two states.
President of Turkey congratulated the president of Azerbaijan on the forthcoming inauguration of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, remembered the historical merits of Heydar Aliyev thanks to whom the international project from legend turned to a reality. He said it is pleased that a monument and a park after Heydar Aliyev is opened in a nice place of Istanbul.
President of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to the Turkish President for high assessment, noting that Heydar Aliyev’s policy, and the successful oil strategy is being continued and today. ‘Once they did not believe to the BTC project, but today it is a reality, and I am convinced that one day and the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas main and Kars-Akhalkalaki-Baku railroad projects will become reality’, the President of Azerbaijan stressed.
