PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVES DELEGATION OF LUKOIL
Addressing the Head of the Azerbaijan State, Vahid Alakbarov presented him the book “Azerbaijan – generous land”. The LUKoil Company has prepared the book dealing with the country’s development, the society of Azerbaijan, and its values, he underlined.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for such a book, noting that the LUKoil Company along with the oil industry is engaged in numerous fields, including charity and social activity. And the book you have prepared promotes full impressions about Azerbaijan.
Vahid Alakbarov said they had been at the Oil Academy of Azerbaijan, and that he would like to live in the prosperous and blossoming Azerbaijan. Activity of the President of Azerbaijan is the guarantee of future progress and welfare of the Azerbaijani people, he underscored.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed that the significant moment is that the youth understand without good education one cannot succeed much. In modern time, in presence of market economy, without wide outlook, ability, and certain knowledge one cannot reach worthy place in society. The head of Azerbaijan State spoke of the reforms in education system of the country, the works done for improvement of the material-technical base of educational establishments and future computerization of classes in the secondary schools in Azerbaijan.
Underlining the interest of the schoolchildren in the higher educational institutions connected with oil and gas industry, Vahid Alakbarov said his Company had promoted education of 20 Iraqi students to study at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy in Baku.
