As is reported, on the invitation of the US President George Bush, on 3 July President of Georgia Mikhail Sakashvili has left for the United States on a working visit. The foreign minister of Georgia Gela Bezhuashvili and presidential aide Irakly Alasania on settlement of conflicts accompanies him.

On 4 July, President of Georgia will participate at the festivities on the Day of Independence of the United States, meet with the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. And the next day, President Saakshvili will have a one-one meeting with President Bush.

“Major topics in the meeting of presidents will be settlement of the conflicts in the territory of Georgia, the efforts aimed at the country’s integration to the Euro-Atlantic structures, and other issues”, visiting last week Georgia, assistant deputy secretary of USA Matthew Bryza said in an interview to the Georgia reporter.

The visit will end on 6 July.
