PRESIDENT PUTIN RECEIVES THE NEW AMBASSADOR OF RUSSIA TO AZERBAIJAN
President of Russia highly assessing inter-governmental relations between Azerbaijan and Russia said that last years the Russian-Azerbaijani relations have fully changed - from the standpoint of level of trust and development of economic links. And it occurs in numerous directions, president Putin stressed, and not only in the economic field. ‘We shall do the best to uphold this tendency’, he underlined.
Head of the Russian state said he relies that the new ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan will promote all-roundness of these interactions, including not only economic, but also humanitarian sphere. He, in particular, said the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu has made a lot in this direction.
The Russian president has expressed hope, that the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Azerbaijan V. Istratov on the new post will make not less, and even will surpass the certain expectations. V. Putin has conveyed the warmest wishes to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. “I hope, that I shall see the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the near future at the informal summit of the CIS in Russia, we will have an opportunity to talk on all bilateral questions”, the Russian President said.
Vasily Istratov, in turn, has noted, that “Azerbaijan, undoubtedly, is one of leading players not only in region, but also on CIS space”. At his words, the relations between two states develop in last years, and it is necessary to cement this tendency.
